For ongoing low milk supply issues, we recommend our ‘support package.’Induced lactation may require multiple appointments. Emergency appointments - Mastitis/ OOH Prescription
- Emergency appointments can be made available for mastitis, with private prescriptions being available out of hours for certain situations. Please contact: 07379946753 to access this service.
Sunday/ Bank Holiday Appointment Price information
- There is a Sunday/ Bank Holiday surcharge on clinic appointments for Lactation Support and Tongue Tie divisions.
- Lactation Consultations have a £30 Surcharge
- Tongue Tie Assessment and Division appointments have a £30 Surcharge
Follow up appointments
- £135/ hr
- Appointments that are less than 30 minutes are charged at £75
- In clinic consultation or virtual.
- If a redivision is necessary there is an additional £30 charge
- Follow up with an IBCLC (Lactation Consultant) is an affordable option (Click here to book)
- Post procedure wound check is also a bookable service for peace of mind that healing is going as expected. This is a 15-minute appointment charged at £40
Private Prescription information
Dr. Sharon Silberstein is able to prescribe medications for conditions related to breastfeeding, such as antibiotics, thrush medication and galactogogues (Domperidone). She works closely with cloudRx https://www.cloudrx.co.uk, an online pharmacy who will ship the prescription out to the patient’s house via next day delivery service. The prescriptions are private and are charged at £25 plus the cost of shipping and the medication. Prescriptions can only be obtained after a consultation to assess suitability. This can be done in person or remotely. Please give at least 1 week notice for repeat prescriptions.
Emergency prescriptions for medications for conditions like mastitis will be given in a format that you can take to your local pharmacy to avoid delay in getting the treatment you need.
Referral Letters
Dr Silberstein can do referral letters to other services. These are priced at £20 per referral.
Home visit
Dr Silberstein is happy to discuss payment options in strict confidence. She is able to work with you to make a payment plan. Dr Silberstein will not turn away a client due to inability to pay the full price.
Cancellations
Dr Silberstein reserves the right to charge the full fee in cases of non-attendance to booked appointments. Cancellations mean that other families who could have had this slot have to wait longer. If you cancel your appointment within 24 hours of the booked time, no refunds will be given and if you haven’t already paid you will be invoiced the full cost of the consultation, payable within 7 days. In the unlikely event of you needing to cancel within 48 hours of your appointment time, a £20 admin charge will be charged, and the remaining balance refunded to you. If you need to cancel up to 48 hours before your appointment time, a £10 admin charge will be charged, and the remaining balance refunded to you.
